Update: Easter 2008 - Susan and I spent the weekend with Bill and Joyce Eaton and their daughters in San Angelo, TX. Bill and Joyce were the Managers of the Grass Mountain Teen Club in Taiwan from the summer 1968 to the Spring 1970. This was a great time for the club. We repainted the dance hall in B&W strips and the ceiling in a B&W checkerboard. We added a strobe light, colour organs connected to the band's amplifiers and few other fixtures. Bill made contact with a DJ in Virginia who sent us the hot new LPs on a regular basis and we even had the newest show and movies on video - that was "reel-to-reel" video tape. Anyone remember those summer trips to Camp McCauley and lining up for your turn on the one and only surfboard. The sad news is that Bill has developed cancer. He has lost a lot of weight and tires easily but he keeps his spirits high and is enjoying being close to family. Bill and Joyce would be happy to hear from any of the former members or visitors to the GMTC. Life I'm moving through my mid-50's and still going strong. I still enjoy teaching secondary (high school) students (Career Counselling and Work Experience) and have another five years or so to go. I am an avid Macintosh users both at home and at work. I look forward doing some travelling after I retire. Listening to Jazz and exploring new cultures. We have a great Jazz Festival the last teen days or June in Vancouver, BC. Susan and I will celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary this year. She works part time in a doctor's office, nursing. All four of our children are grown up, two married, another pending. No grand children yet. My father, Rev. Dr. Bernard "Bernie" L.M. Embree died of a sudden and unexpected heart attack in December of 1997. Some of you, or your parents might have known him from Taiwan. He was also active in scouting (BSA). My mother, Elsie Jane Embree died peacefully this past June 2007.
